S. F. Sherard Sr., my Granddaddy started a general mercantile business here in 1890. I
am a third generation offspring of this business and the 9th generation ( around 320 years in all ) to carry on.
We evolved from cotton farming, cotton ginning, and raising products dealing
with farming, then ranching. Our family worked a 4000-acre ranch starting the first PureBred Registered Charlais
cattle, and we raise registered Quarter horses. Tri S Ranch is where I work along with my family and is still an ongoing operation.
